Have to admit I enjoy and admire the thinking David Steel puts into his work - this one pager is a strong reminder about the humanity we need to focus on with this faceless (ok nearly faceless) medium

Steve Jobs or Bill Gates – which one do you admire more? And what would you want to ask them?

Oh heavens, that's a tough question for me given my professional connections to both tech leaders. Bill Gates I believe has staked out his own territory separate from Microsoft - frankly it pains me that Steve Jobs has not done the same. In my professional life, I have thousands of nonprofits who benefit from Gates generosity and spirit of support. It eludes me that Jobs appears to have none of that in his professional dealings. What I would ask Mr Jobs, "Why, despite your previous desire to be of social benefit, do you deny support to nonprofits in the US and around the world from Apple?"

Where do you get your daily news fix today – and where did you get it 10 years ago?

It's intriguing and sad that while I don't accept it as news, I get wind of the most intriguing news stories from the Daily Show, and even sometimes the Colbert Report.

Was fascinated by one Colbert this week that focused on an Atlantic cover story entitled The End of Men.

In the published synopsis, "Earlier this year, women became the majority of the workforce for the first time in U.S. history. Most managers are now women too. And for every two men who get a college degree this year, three women will do the same. For years, women’s progress has been cast as a struggle for equality. But what if equality isn’t the end point? What if modern, postindustrial society is simply better suited to women? A report on the unprecedented role reversal now under way— and its vast cultural consequences interesting to you."\

Is this true? Assume the statistics are valid, but the conclusions, that's worth thinking about in my POV.

10 years ago - back then I subscribed to daily newspaper(still do in fact), weekend NY Times, Wall St Journal and 3 magazines. Print plays a vital role for me, but have to admit it's dwindling.

Is the Internet rewiring our brains? How is it changing your attention span for better or worse?

I'm less concerned about the Internet and more about my Blackberry addiction. First thing in the morning I'm doing a fast review of different work emails, personal email, texts and Facebook updates. How can that even be healthy before a first cup of coffee (and no, I'm not willing to compromise about the coffee).
